I'm Haswin Vidanage, and welcome to my personal website where I share my work and blogs.

I am a Senior Software Engineer based in Singapore. I enjoy solving problems and creating scalable solutions that empower products to thrive. With over 8 years of total experience and 4 years of dedicated service at NE Digital Singapore , I am currently working as a Principal Engineer, leading multiple squads and currently focusing on the migration to microservices. My passion lies in creating scalable system designs, and I actively collaborate with teams to guide them in system design, architecture, and the validation of their designs. At NE Digital, I specialize in utilizing Golang, ReactJS, and React Native to develop cutting-edge solutions that meet the dynamic needs of our clients. Prior to my time at NE Digital, I had the pleasure of working at Pearson, where I gained valuable experience working with Java Spring Boot, React JS, and BackboneJS. Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Education plays a vital role in my journey as a software engineer. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the prestigious University College Dublin in Ireland. In addition to my formal education, I have also pursued various certifications to enhance my professional skill set. I am a Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, and an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE8 Programmer. These certifications validate my expertise in Agile methodologies, Kubernetes application development, and Java programming. Beyond my career, I am a firm believer in maintaining a balanced lifestyle. I enjoy engaging in physical activities such as going to the gym and playing basketball, which help me recharge and stay focused. I also have a passion for exploring new destinations through travel, as it broadens my horizons and fuels my creativity.
